Becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) requires extensive education, hands-on clinical training, and successfully passing state and national credentialing examinations. Even after certification, CVTs continue learning throughout their careers to stay current with advances in veterinary medicine.
Their responsibilities include:

- performing dental cleanings and dental radiographs
- collecting blood and laboratory samples

Sami is our most senior CVT, and she has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Exceptional Vet Techs by VetriScience. Her sweet, calm demeanor puts both pets and clients at ease. She balances the clients’ concerns with patients’ needs and doctors’ recommendations. She’s extremely organized and helps our days flow smoothly.
Kaitlyn P. is a Veterinary Technologist combining a CVT license with her bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology. In addition to her tech duties, Kaitlyn oversees our equipment, manages our medical inventory, and keeps us OSHA-compliant. She is a quiet leader who works to understand the best approach in all situations.
Brooke is a former recipient of the Wisconsin Vet Tech Association (WVTA) Veterinary Technician of the Year award. She is a pro at explaining information to both clients and Countrycare trainees, and her warm, compassionate approach makes everyone feel comfortable. She has an amazing work ethic and constantly looks for ways to improve.
Carrie has great attention to detail and is always looking for ways to improve our processes. She keeps supplies organized so our team can provide efficient, high-quality patient care. She also tracks our trainees’ progress to ensure they have the support and resources they need to grow with confidence.
Shannon has a gentle and calm manner that soothes even our most anxious animals. She is open-minded in finding solutions when something isn’t working, and she is level-headed in times of stress. She is a natural problem solver and a trusted resource for our staff. Additionally, her coworkers love her sense of humor.
Jadyn has a naturally soothing presence that puts pets, clients, and coworkers at ease. She is detail-oriented, thorough, and always willing to lend a hand wherever it’s needed. If she sees a problem, she takes ownership and quickly fixes it. But what truly stands out is the genuine care she brings to every patient and every person she meets.
Holly is warm and personable, and her smile lights up a room. She is highly observant and naturally sees the bigger picture, helping her approach each situation with thoughtfulness and care. She is very grounded and easygoing. Her compassion and optimism make both pets and people feel welcome.
